Dear RTO Credentialed Minister:

This summer has been very busy. I've heard many reports of great ministry in our churches. Thank God for all He is doing. I've had the opportunity to experience it on my visits to several churches over the last few weeks. I'm excited about the future of the RTO as together we serve to impact the kingdom of God. Thank you for all you do and the fine manner in which you serve. I am proud of our RTO churches, ministers, and leaders! I brag about you all the time. I am so honored to serve as your Administrative Bishop!

The biennial Church of God General Assembly is happening very soon, starting July 30 and continuing through August 3, in Orlando Florida. I hope to see many of our RTO pastors and wives in attendance at this year's General Assembly. This biennial international convention is very important and I trust you are making it a priority in your schedule this summer. You will have the opportunity to meet many delegates from all over the world! You need to register online for the General Assembly and there is information on the Church of God website regarding lodging as well. Pastors: There is a LEAD Conference for all pastors on Monday, July 30. I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this FREE conference. You just have to be registered for the General Assembly and you have to pre-register for the conference as well. The speakers will be excellent! You can visit the website for the General Assembly at http://ga18.org/assembly-details/ You can see the schedules, the business items that will be discussed, information about kids church, etc. All Ordained Bishops in the Church of God will have the opportunity to be a part of the dialogue and elections, which begin early on Tuesday morning. If you have not reviewed the items to be discussed in the Business sessions, I encourage you to do so right away. You will also be able to vote for the Council of 18 who help lead the Church of God. All exhorters/deacons and ordained/pastor credentialed ministers, as well as all Church of God members will be able to participate in the discussion in the General Assembly meeting later in the week.

We will have an RTO fellowship meal during the General Assembly so we will need to know who will be attending in order to keep you informed of the details of date, place and time. Please call the office or send a message to let us know if you will be at the General Assembly, when you will be arriving and leaving so we can plan our meal at the best time.

If you are a Senior Pastor, it would be very appropriate for your local church to assist you with your financial needs to attend the General Assembly.

I may have an extra room at the Hilton Hotel, the GA headquarters hotel, if someone is looking for one. It begins on Saturday, July 28 and continues through Friday night, August 3. Contact me asap if you are looking for a hotel room.

Please remember that Sunday, June 3, was RTO YWEA Missions Sunday. We are asking every church to help us by sending a special offering for YWEA missions. This is an annual mission that churches all over the world raise funds to assist. Included in this year's project are three Ukranian orphanages in the Ukraine. Also included is Europe's Child Mission, which is helping underwrite some youth camps this summer in Romania.

Please forward the offering no later than July 20, if you haven't done so already. Make the check payable to Church of God and send to the RTO. We will be recognizing all churches who send an offering and the amount given and will be sharing this with all our RTO pastors and churches.

Thank you for your support of this mission. Feel free to visit www.myywea.com to download a video which explains the project which you can show prior to receiving the offering.

Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

June has passed and you should have filed your monthly ministerial report and also for your church's monthly church report. Thank you for all who understand this priority and are faithful in their monthly reporting. The July monthly report will soon be due on August 1.

Dr. Hill, General Overseer, has requested that every church complete the Local Church Property Assessment form. Many of you have sent yours to us. However, we must have a form from EVERY church, even if you don't own your own property. We need it for the file. Please complete this form and return it to the RTO immediately.

Jamie Avery who has served as our assistant is no longer serving in the RTO. He has accepted a pastorate in Mississippi. The new assistant is Jared Loudermilk. His e-mail address is jloudermilk@churchofgod.org. The phone number is the same: 423.478.7017. We welcome Jared to the RTO family.

A Men of Action team is being put together to help coordinate work projects through the Church of God Men of Action. We are already partnering with them. Constantin Lupancu has recently taken some men to the Caribbean to work on some churches effected by last year's storms. Peter Boros has lead a team recently to serve in the construction of a roof for a Church of God church in Rwanda. There are many other opportunities through the Church of God Men of Action office. Thus far, serving on this team are: Peter Boros, Constantin Lupancu, and Cornel Ianchici. If you know of someone who might be interested in serving in leadership with this team, please contact the RTO immediately. A meeting will be held soon to put together plans for future involvement in missions projects.

In September, there will be an opportunity for the credentialed ministers in the RTO to vote for the RTO Board. As we prepare for this election, keep in mind the statement of the Church of God Minutes:

S29. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MINISTER, Item 9 states: In order for any minister to be considered eligible for elecion or appointment by the International Executive Committee, General Council or General Assembly, the minister must be current on both personal ministerial reports and the local church reports with required finances from the church he/she pastors (if applicable). An exceptions must be approved by the International Executive Committee. Further, this same measure applies to state/regional positions and boards. Any exception at the state/regional level must be approved by the state/regional overseer in writing (73rd A., 2010)

This means that anyone who is eligible to be elected must be up to date with their ministerial reports and also with their local church reports. Otherwise, they cannot be elected.

Anyone who might be interested in joining the Administrative Bishop on a missions trip to Romania, please contact the RTO asap. Looking at scheduling a trip in the fall or possibly the first week of December.

Check out the trip for pastors to Manila Philippines in October to visit the Church of God Lighthouse Send the World to Manila project, a new church plant in Manila. You are invited to go! I would like to take several of our RTO ministers on the trip to the Philippines. Please contact the RTO office for additional information about the October 3-8 missions trip.
